Great place to grab a quick sip and bite but the overcrowding (especially on weekends) has become out of control during peak hours. So please don't be those types of people who lounge around with their laptops or books or with a group of friends when it gets busy - it can get super uncomfortable when a mass amount of people start coming in and scattering all over the small space. I know I've come close to getting clocked in the face by those just loitering around instead of waiting outside. That said, I've come here on several occasions for some nice coffee and a sandwich after the gym. It's ALWAYS on point. Their Short Rib sandwich is honestly my favorite item to get here. It may look small but it is enough to fill you up for a few hours and yes, it is very messy, in case you're wondering :) I always get their cold brew and it's more of a light roast fare, which is to my liking. Their pear and goat cheese danish is also very nice and may be a little odd for those who aren't used to having sweet, tart, salty, and herbally flavors all at once. It's definitely on the pricier side and caters more to the transplanted crowd in Astoria but the prices rightfully reflect their quality. I've been lucky and never really had to wait but I personally wouldn't wait on line, especially when there's other cafes nearby.
Cute little coffee shop with seating inside and out. Got a mocha which was on point and the breakfast Sammie with halal bacon Food came out pretty quick and staff was attentive to wipe tables down quickly when people left to make room for the next.
Top notch cafe. Coffee is high quality and the pastries are insanely delicious. Make sure to come early for the pastries as they sell out fast. Limited seating but positive vibes.
Cute neighborhood cafe in northern LIC/southern Astoria area. It can get super duper busy on weekends especially closer to noon. Some seating but I wouldn't really plan to find a seat if you're coming with more than 4 people. I did see a couple outlets, but not sure if they have WiFi. Service was kinda slow and seems like one of the cashiers/workers was new so he had trouble getting people the right orders. On a lazy Sunday though this was pretty easy to overlook. The oat milk latte was solid. The filled donut was good although I couldn't quite figure out what the flavors were meant to be. The cardamom croissant though was great. Sticky and sweet exterior with a fluffy/buttery/layered inside. Definitely would come back here as well for some of their more brunch items, too. Overall, a cute neighborhood bakery in an area kinda lacking on coffee shops imo.
Cute little cafe serving everything from drinks to pastries to brunch bites! Great for catching up with friends (would not recommend groups bigger than 4) or getting some breakfast if you come in the morning or late afternoon on weekend. Fair warning that there are times when the line goes out the door though! I came a couple times now, once in the morning and once right before closing. Both times seating was full, but thankfully some people were cycling through so we were able to snag a seat after we ordered. I've tried their cappuccino, lemon olive oil cake, firni donut, and cardamom bun so far. The cappuccino is okay. I'd like to try their chai or pink tea eventually but they're both pre-sweetened, and I wish I could control levels of sweetness. The pastries though are on point. I'm still not sure what's in the firni donut, but the cream is delicious. Very sticky top (as is the cardamom bun). The cardamom bun is also freaking delicious and huge. The lemon olive oil cake is great, suuuper moist and soft. but slice feels smaller compared to the other pastries. They also have food like breakfast burritos and all day pancakes (which also looked delicious). The avo toast also looked huge (don't remember the prices though). Would love to bring a couple friends to do brunch some time and try the whole menu :) They have outlets and I've seen people read/do work here, but I've only come in for hang outs.
Great cafe and sandwich shop. Came on a Friday to find every seat taken. Fortunately, a table opened up by the time our order was ready. We shared their signature halal bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a house made bun. Possibly the best BEC that I've had. Great savoriness to it. House bun put it over the top. We also shared their spicy chicken sandwich. Crispy chicken. Again, on their superb house made bun. Loaded with plenty slaw. Sandwich was on the acidic side. I appreciate savory and umami bombs, so this wasn't quite my style of item; however, I appreciate how it was put together. We shared several pastries too. Croissant was solid. Quite airy with a bit of flakiness. The most interesting of the bunch was a middle eastern inspired doughnut. It was a yeast doughnut filled with what I believe was a cardamom cream and topped with rose icing and pistachio crumbs. I'd recommend it for the uniqueness alone. I wasn't a fan of the danish which had goat cheese. The turmeric bun was another good choice. Service was helpful and the wait wasn't too long. There are about 8 two-person tables, but almost half the tables were occupied by individuals on laptops. There was one gender neutral restroom.
We stopped in based on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. It is an all-day halal cafe. On a rainy Sunday morning and it was so crowded. There are only 5- 6 tables for 2 and the line was long. The pistachio donut was so good. It was filled with a pastry cream that had a bit of spice and floral flavor and topped with pistachios. We also had the chocolate croissant... so big, flaky and chocolatey. We split the breakfast burrito with Halal bacon and it was so good. It was stressful waiting for a table, but by the time our food arrived we were able to get a table and enjoy our breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Just moved to the other side of LIC, and my younger brother noticed this cafe not too far from me. We decided to check it out on a Sunday morning and I was not expecting a crowd of people here. Little flower is a small cafe, with limited seating. But the baked goods and breakfast sandwich caught our eyes, especially the halal bacon (beef bacon). I ended up getting a pistachio croissant, and an egg sandwich with the beef bacon. The bread is made in house and was delicious! They also gave a good amount of bacon. The croissant was out of this world good! The pistachio filling was so light , it was delicious. The dirty chai was good, but I have a feeling the pink drink is what I should have gotten. The service was amazing, they were quick and efficient, answered all my questions and gave great recommendations. But just a FYI, it's a bit pricey. Would I stop by again? For the baked goods, absolutely!
Finally tried the breakfast burrito - immediately want to eat it again. Definitely get the halal bacon. There are plenty of options on the menu. Everyone working at Little Flower is super friendly. The interior is cozy despite the very modern/industrial? seating. The cafe is popular but the service is fast and seating seems to turn over at a decent pace. They allow laptops but don't provide wifi. They're still putting three cafe tables outside and the block gets enough sun that sitting outside is still doable in cold-ish weather.
This place is a gem in Astoria. The coffee is hand crafted and the lattes have a nice velvety foam. They have really awesome looking and tasting pastries with a middle eastern flair. They also have a small breakfast and lunch menu such as a breakfast burrito and and a burger. They also have seasonal pastries like a pumpkin spice donut that are not on the posted menu. The pastries are fresh and are on a pastry cart behind the register. I've only had the coffee and pastries, but am really looking forward to trying their gochujang hot chicken sammie and short rib sandwich. The atmosphere is a minimalist and industrial design. They are right on the corner with large windows on the south and west side so it is nice and bright. The barista we met on a weekend morning was really nice too. I've come here a few times and always seem at least half full so seating may be a bit difficult to find. They do have a few bistro tables and chairs outside. I also really liked their ceramic serve-ware W/R/F that is sleek and handmade.
